Property geofence

How the fence behaves

• Perimeter breach — a collar reporting outside the red boundary for 2 consecutive pings pages the on-call phone and drops a task on the Home board.
• Exclusion zones — the pond and the Schochoh Rd buffer alert immediately on a single ping, day or night.
• Paddock drift — during rotational grazing, animals in the wrong paddock for >30 min appear on the Pasture page as a move exception.
• Gone-quiet collars — no ping for 20 min flags the animal on Track with her last known position.

Where positions come from

Pasture groups wear solar LoRa GPS collars that ping every 60–90 seconds to the two gateways on the property. Inside the barns, GPS gives way to the parlor and sort-gate EID readers — every animal is positively identified at least three times a day at milking, so barn-zone dots are placed by last reader hit. The full sensor-to-server wiring lives on the Integrations page.
